Join us Saturday, August 5th, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the annual afternoon of fun and frolic celebrating the joy we have in our breed, the Shiba Inu.  By doing so, we are helping Shibas in need by donating all proceeds to the Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue.

Silent auction items abound and our popular costume parade are included with the classic catered lunch which includes broasted chicken, salads, fruit, soda, water and cookies. The dogs love the picnic and the park is quiet and peaceful. The silent auction will have many interesting items and baskets. Contributions to the silent auction can be arranged by contacting Jane Chapin j.annshibas@gmail.com. Any fun and interesting items, as well as dog items are welcome. We will have a Shiba costume parade for those wanting to participate. Bring your costumes! Shiba calendars will be available again this year. Price and ordering will be announce at a later date. Lunch: Adults $20.00. Kids 12 and under eat and attend free. To attend without lunch: $20.00 - soft drinks and water available. (Please, all must sign up in advance. WE NOT TAKE WALKINS THE DAY OF) REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT WILL BE POSTED HER THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY. PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE THROUGH TICKLEAP ONLINE. “A note of caution, for the safety of all dogs and people attending,” Please keep Shibas home that are reactive to other dogs and or people. There will be a huge number of dogs at this event and this can stress some Shibas. Please keep your dogs to yourself and limit your dog’s sniffing of others. Not all Shibas like to have other Shibas in their faces. Keep all dogs on short leashes, no flexis allowed at this event. This is not a great place to socialize unsocialized dogs. Keep your eye on your dog and that of others.
